ESN KAPA Athens is organizing the best Day Trip to NAFPLIO, one of the most popular destinations in Greece!! But the journey doesn't end there!! On our way there we 'll also visit CORINTH CANAL (biggest Canal of Greece) and the MYCENEAN PALACE (an UNESCO world heritage site!), both ideal places for anyone wishing to get the full out of Greece. So don't miss out!

→ Price: 7 euros with ESN card / 10 euros without ESN card
→ REGISTRATION is NEEDED!
You can register until 14.02.2012 in our office during our office hours or during your Orientation Day at the University. An Event Card will be given to you upon payment.

Don't Forget to bring to this Event Card with you the day of the event! :)

→ Accesibility: The event is NOT accessible to people in wheelchair.
→ What you’ll need: Wear comfortable shoes and bring your cameras! A flash light would also be useful if you want to play Indiana Jones and go down the underground tank of Mycenae!

Refund policy: If for some serious reason you can't make it to the event, please let us know as soon as possible by e-mail or telephone. In case of bad weather probably the trip will be postponed for the week after. We will let you know asap!

~~> NAFPLIO: Nafplio is the one of the most beautiful town in the Peloponnese. On the local acropolis a defense fortress was built, called The Acronauplia - and in the 14th and 15th century, when the town belonged to Venice, a fortified castle on the Bourtzi island, near the seashore, was constructed.
~~> MYCENAE: We will walk through the impressive Lion Gate to the archaeological Site of Ancient Mycenae, see the fascinating remains of the palace and its Cyclopean walls and go deep into the earth to the underground tank! Then we’ll visit the Treasury of Atreus (also known as the Tomb of Agamemnon), it creates a fascinating echo!
~~> CORINTH CANAL: The Corinth Canal is a canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnesian peninsula from the Greek mainland, thus effectively making the former an island. Also it is possible to do bungee jumping from the bridge (80 meters high)!
